The first test is a fluoroscopic voiding cystourethrogram (F-VCUG). If no anatomic abnormalities are identified reflux can subsequently be followed by F-VCUG or a nuclear medicine VCUG. If anatomic abnormalities are discovered then reflux should be followed by F-VCUG.
