The Body Imaging section consists of five faculty members and provides a full array of clinical services. Our Ultrasound service includes abdominal pelvic ultrasound as well as peripheral venous and arterial ultrasound including segmental plethysmography. Residents rotate in the neurosonology lab which is housed in the Body Imaging Section.
Body CT plays an active role in imaging in the Level 1 trauma center as well as in cancer patients. We also use our 64 Detector CT scanners to do both peripheral vascular as well as coronary artery CT angiography.
Our Body MR service includes abdominal and pelvic MRI for biliary disease, renal tumor staging and GYN malignancies. In addition, we use MRI for vascular imaging for aortic disease and renal artery stenosis. Our cardiac MR program includes imaging congenital heart disease and delayed imaging for cardiac infarction or infiltrating disease.
