Neuroradiology

The section of Neuroradiology provides comprehensive neuro-imaging including CT perfusion, NMR spectroscopy, and functional MRI.  Neuro-imaging is also used routinely in the Level 1 trauma center for head and spine trauma.  MCG has the only Pediatric Neuro-oncologist in the state of Georgia on faculty at MCG.  MCG is also a Joint Commission accredited stroke program and is designated a Center of Excellence for Parkinson’s disease by the National Parkinson’s Foundation.  MCG is an NAEC Level IV Epilepsy Center.
